Founded by Harry Richmond just after the Second World War and becoming a limited company on 18 December 1954, Harry Richmond & Partner Ltd is a proud family-run building and civil engineering company with over 70 years of experience delivering quality construction projects. Fantastic. Without a doubt the best building contractors I've ever used. Martin is a brilliant manager of the whole project, even dealing with quibbles from neighbours etc... never had a single worry during the build.. and it wasn't an easy project. His team, Mark, Gary and Andy were brilliant. Very efficient, polite, and the job looks even better than I thought it would. They even finished ahead of time in winter!! If that wasn't enough they even tidy up after work every day! Will definitely be using them again.

We have worked with Martin Johnson at Harry Richmond on several large projects in homes we have owned over the years, and we can recommend him to you without hesitation.
We have been delighted with the quality of their work every time. The team is well managed, and we did not need to be on top of them. We would often go away on holiday and leave them to the agreed programme of works. The team has a good understanding of what they can get on with and what they need to check with us first.
The builders are a very well-mannered, cheerful, pleasant and professional team to have in the house. Martin has assembled a team of craftsmen who work together regularly, so they know each other and work together well. They were always careful to do a clean up at the end of the day, and we trusted them being in the house.
In terms of budget, we have never had a surprise in the final costs. Invariably we chose to add some additional works as the project progressed, but we were always provided with accurate quotes.
Harry Richmond’s greatest strength is their craftsmanship and attention to detail. They do beautiful work. They may not be the cheapest, but they are great value if you want that level of care and detail.
In any building project there will be unexpected developments, and Martin is a great problem solver. He is calm and unflappable, and because he has so much experience he is good at finding solutions to unexpected glitches.
We have used Harry Richmond on four large projects already, and will use them again for any future work.

Harry Richmond and Partner did our back extension with a new kitchen, to say we are pleased with it is an understatement. We are thrilled. The lads on site were lovely and trustworthy and just got on with it and we were really impressed with how clean and tidy they kept the site. Martin was great to deal with as he really listened and understood what we wanted and always came up with solutions if we came into any problems.
The end product is better than we could have ever imagined, Very Happy customer!!!
